We were delighted to welcome so many to our walk and talk tour of The Bryn y Pys Old Hall Site on Monday 10 August 2026.
As we walked up The Millennium Meadow, Tim Rosselli, Tour Guide, welcomed everyone and explained how it used to be a main drive to the Hall originally- and that poplar trees would have been planted alongside the mature trees which we now have, to create an instant avenue at the time.
Further stops took in descriptions of the two army camps either side of the Old Hall, the description of the Hall and who lived there, The Dovecote and Gwernheylod Hall, which was also demolished, in the 1930’s.
We concluded at The Cocoa Rooms in Overton, looking at the social history contained in the collection of family photo albums of The Peel Family.
We were grateful for many memories of Overton residents who had family connections with life at The Hall.
